Wax Moth Larvae are a very nutritious live food that are full of both vitamins and minerals. They are excellent for feeding to very small reptiles and insect eating birds and are also very good at getting reluctant feeders started. They also make a great treat for your pet but be careful they can be quite fattening so do not overdo it. They are a very popular food for various Lizards including bearded dragons, Leopard Geckos, Frogs and Water dragons. In choosing to feed your reptile live foods such as waxworms you will be promoting a natural hunting, stalking and waiting behaviour from your reptile which keeps them active and occupied and is more what they would be accustomed to in the wild.
